Iniss 455 is a Yeerk who was slated to infest Melissa Chapman.

Biography[]

An Unrealized Host[]

"Iniss Four-Five-Five is a spawn mate of yours, I believe."
Esplin 9466 to Iniss 226[src]

Iniss 455 was born prior to 1966[1] on the Sulp Niar pool on the Yeerk homeworld, alongside Iniss 226.[2] In 1966, many of the Yeerks in the Sulp Niar pool were loaded onto a stolen Andalite ship by a small army of Yeerks who wished to expand to the cosmos and conquer other species and territories,[3] with Iniss 455 being one of the Yeerks who joined the exodus. Iniss 455 then joined the Yeerk Empire.[1] In 1997,[4] Iniss 455 was on the Pool ship when he was informed that he would be receiving a human host named Melissa Chapman and assigned to serve as one of the Empire's many human-Controllers. However, due to a change of plans, Iniss 455 did not end up infesting Melissa as Visser Three had agreed to spare her due to a deal made with Hedrick Chapman.[2]

  4. This transpires in #2: The Visitor, which is set less than two weeks after #1: The Invasion. The Andalite Chronicles is said to take place 10 years after the 1966 Yeerk exodus of The Hork-Bajir Chronicles and 21 years before Elfangor met the Animorphs. This places it in 1976, meaning the Animorphs met Elfangor in 1997.
