"I could see the big red-and-white sign that said: DEALIN' DAN HAWKE'S USED CARS. [...] The man was close by. I recognized him because I had seen him on his TV commercials. He was Dealin' Dan Hawke. He owned the car dealership."

Dealin' Dan Hawke's Used Cars is a used vehicle dealership in California owned by Dealin' Dan Hawke. Hawke's usage of a captive red-tailed hawk named Price-Cut Polly as a mascot caused Tobias and Rachel to attack the dealership in order to free the hawk.

Commercial Fiasco[]

"Well, ladies and gentlemen in TV-land, I guess we have a bird trying to break into our Price-Cut Polly's cage. Boys, you better shoo him away. [...] Oh. My. Lord. Forget the bird! There's an elephant stomping over the convertibles!"

  2. The Beginning
  3. 3.0 3.1 The Encounter
  4. This transpires in #3: The Encounter, which is set less than a month after #1: The Invasion. The Andalite Chronicles is said to take place 10 years after the 1966 Yeerk exodus of The Hork-Bajir Chronicles and 21 years before Elfangor met the Animorphs. This places it in 1976, meaning the Animorphs met Elfangor in 1997.
